Desiray is a c/o ‘95 Proviso East graduate and alum from both SIUC (BSW) and Olivet Nazarene University (MBA in Organizational Leadership and Development). Her passion for empowering youth is evident in her past service to District 209 as a substitute teacher, social worker, and college adjunct professor. When Desiray is away from the office or classroom, she enjoys community work with District 209 and its neighbors, as well as doing service projects as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority , Inc and runway modeling. However, her most important commitment is to her talented, beautiful, and handsome children.

Blanche is a former Maywoodian and Proviso East’s c/o ‘70 who currently resides in sunny California. She brings a wealth of experience in assisting and coordinating teams. Throughout her life, she has been an integral part of her community as former owner of several Jackson Hewitt franchises, a furniture distribution company, a staffing company, current president and CEO of Housebaby Productions Enterprises and VP of Madbaby Beads and Art to name a few of the ways she has made her mark as a serial entrepreneur.

Drunell Langston affectionately called “Dru” is a c/o ‘72 proud alum and former Maywoodian. She is also the mother of three successful PEHS alums. Dru has demonstrated consistency and dependability through her loyalty as a senior manager operating in varying regions during her forty year tenure with the United States Postal Service. She has also utilized nurture and wisdom to foster mentoring relationships with subordinates and peers over the years. Dru has also built successful businesses with friends and family. However, her passion is developing youth for success in life.

Taquana Stephens Marshall is a proud c/o 1978 graduate of Proviso East. She is passionate about ensuring the next generation of Maywoodians and its surrounding suburbs are equipped to face the challenges of the future through being a District 89 teacher. Not only does she help to secure our future through teaching, but she also leads other teachers through serving as the president of the Teacher’s Union (MEA) from 2019 to 2023. Taquana also has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from SIUC and a master’s degree in education fromAurora University.

As a proud Maywoodian and c/o ‘95 alum, mother, and grandmother, Yvonne brings a wealth of knowledge, loyalty and wisdom to PEAA’s executive team. She is also a sixteen year telcom, auto and fashion industry professional. Given her expertise in her professional endeavors, she is able to curate exceptional events experiences for PEAA. Yvonne credits her strong faith in God and being a forever student for her continued success.

Being passionate about volunteer work makes Adrianna a valuable asset to any team. She is a mom, entrepreneur, and upcoming marketing and branding mogul. She is the proud owner of S’tash Accessories, an online fashion brand. Adrianna is a highly driven individual and strives for success as demonstrated by her invaluable input and service as the marketing coordinator for the Broadview Park District, Proviso township, and local politicians. Adrianna also holds a BA in fashion marketing and management from the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg.

Our nonprofit 501(c)3 organization is committed to providing vital support and resources to current students and alumni of Proviso East High School with scholarships and sponsorships. We aim to ease financial burdens that have proven to limit students’ educational goals and therefore their economic advancement.
