Hair Doctors Studio Scholarship

The Hair Doctors Studio Scholarship desires to provide a deserving student with a $1,000 scholarship who will attend a barber, cosmetology, or esthetician school.
 Ta-Tanishia (Ta-Ta) Wallace is a graduate of Proviso East class of 1990. Ta-Ta and her husband, Darnell have owned Hair Doctors Studio, a barber and beauty salon, over twenty-six (26) years in the Maywood community.
Scholarship Criteria:
  1.  Must be a Proviso East High School graduating senior.
  2.  2.0 GPA or higher.
  3.  Provide an official transcript.
  4.  300 word or less essay.
  5.  One letter of recommendation from a teacher or a counselor
  6.  Proof of enrollment in a licensed and accredited barber, cosmetology, or esthetician school
* DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSION- 
April 30, 2024. All supporting documents are due by May 31, 2024
All applicants will be notified by August 15, 2024 of their status. Payment to scholarship winner will be disbursed during Proviso East's Homecoming weekend (TBA).
