Hair Xtacee's Cosmetology Scholarship
Hair Xtacee's Cosmetology Scholarship provides a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student who will attend a cosmetology or barber school.
Teisha Carter is the owner of Hair Xtacee Beauty Salon in Westchester, Illinois. She has been a hair stylist and business owner for over thirty (30) years. Teisha believes in giving back and loves working with the youth as a youth leader at Freedom Baptist Church in Hillside, Illinois.

Scholarship Criteria:
- Must be a graduating Proviso East High School senior.
- GPA 2.0 or higher.
- High school official transcript.
- 300 word essay.
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher or a counselor.
- Proof of enrollment in a licensed and accredited barber or cosmetology school.

April 30, 2024. All supporting documents are due by May 31, 2024.
All applicants will be notified by August 15, 2024 of their status. Payment to scholarship winner will be disbursed during Proviso East's Homecoming weekend (TBA).
