Nurse Pacesetters Scholarship
The Nurse Pacesetters Scholarship is a $1,000.00 award aimed towards assisting a deserving high school senior who is beginning a higher education journey.
Aynesha Wallace is a Registered Nurse and founder of Nurse Pacesetters Inc., a 501(c)3 organization in 2024. Her nonprofit has created a nursing community for local nurses and health care professionals. The Nurse Pacesetters Scholarship is a $1,000 award to assist a graduating senior on their nursing school journey.
As a 2013 alumna of Proviso Math & Science Academy and during her six (6) year career as a nurse, Aynesha has had the opportunity to travel the world fulfilling her passion for nursing.
Aynesha believes a nursing degree is a tool for financial independence. Therefore, she wants to empower future nurses and help lead them in the right direction. One of the life lessons Aynesha ascribes to is remembering that “everyone else’s path may not be your path, set your own pace”.
Students interested in a nursing career are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. The recipient must pursue a pre-nursing or nursing major.
Scholarship Criteria:
1. Open to a PMSA, Proviso East, and Proviso West High School graduating senior.
2. 3.0 GPA
3. Completion of the required essay- 250 words minimum.
4. Two (2) letters of recommendation from non related sources.
5. Documentation of school accreditation or certification.
6. Proof of acceptance and registration in the school.
Deadline for application submission-
April 30, 2025. All supporting documents are due by April 30, 2025.
*All applicants will be notified by June 16, 2025. Payment to scholarship winner will be disbursed during Proviso East's Homecoming weekend, TBD.
