The SisterFriends Circle Scholarship

The "SisterFriends Circle" Scholarship desires to provide a deserving student from Proviso East, Proviso West, or PMSA with a $1,000 scholarship who desires to further their education. 


SisterFriends Circle is a dedicated social group comprised of accomplished women committed to challenging stereotypes through showcasing the harmonious coexistence of women. Our members, who seamlessly balance careers, family, entrepreneurship, and community involvement, recognize the importance of fostering strong connections with other women outside of their busy schedules.

In line with our mission, the women of SisterFriends Circle aims to extend their support to a deserving senior at Proviso East, Proviso West, or PMSA high schools. Our goal is to contribute to their educational journey, whether it is through attending a university, trade school, pursuing a military path, or enrolling in a junior college. We believe in empowering the next generation and investing in their future.

Scholarship Requirements: 

 -- Must be a Proviso East, Proviso West or PMSA graduating senior. 

--   Pursue a college degree from an accredited university, junior college, certification from a trade school, or  have a military enlistment. 

--  2.5 or higher GPA.  

--  Participated in community service (a letter from organization or person(s) who can vouch for participant’s involvement is required).

--  Completion of the required essay-  "How will this scholarship assist in pursuing your future aspirations?" 250 words minimum. 

--  Submit two letters of recommendation. 

--  Submit official high school transcript(s).

* DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSION - April 30, 2025. All supporting documents due April 30, 2025.
All applicants will be notified by June 16, 2025 of their status. Payment to scholarship winner will be disbursed during Proviso East's Homecoming weekend (TBA).
