The Vertical Management LLC Scholarship will provide $1,000 for a Proviso East student who has overcome great obstacles and adversity; while remaining determined to finish high school and explore future educational goals. As a partner and owner-operator of Vertical Management LLC, Mr. David Scott is a community leader and a successful entrepreneur who has proven, despite challenges, it is possible to achieve anything your mind can conceive. Mr. Scott has demonstrated through his various business endeavors– People's Cab, an auto dealership, People Loans, and Vertical Management LLC, his can-do mindset and work ethic. Ultimately, Mr. Scott’s intention is to motivate and inspire young minds to dream big and allow nothing interfere with getting the education or training needed to succeed.

David Scott has been a self-employed, business owner and operator in Maywood and Suburban Chicago for four decades. His contributions to the communities he serves are many, and his commitment to excellence is unparalleled. He has given back to the community and paid it forward in many ways, from giving food to the hungry, aid to the less fortunate, helping struggling seniors, supporting children's causes, and the list goes on. Mr. Scott wants the scholarship recipient to commit to always paying it forward.

Scholarship Criteria:
